Stihl 031 ignition chip
Worked great on my 031 to replace points and condenser. Best place to mount it is on the coil bolt closet to the air box. Replace bolt with longer one and fasten it with a nut on bottom side facing cylinder. Mounting to far away from coil will make spark weak.

Ignition Chip For Chainsaw Works Great.
I was very skeptical when I bought this to replace the points and condenser on my Stihl 031AV chainsaw because I didn't think an ignition chip under $15 USD would work, but since it was only $20 with taxes and shipping, I thought I would give it a try. I received it 2 to 3 days after placing the order, so it came quick. It came with very easy to follow instructions and it was also very easy to install. I can honestly say that I don't remember when my chainsaw ran this well. It runs great and very sensitive to throttle movements. It revs up as soon as you hit the throttle. There isn't a noticeable delay. I wish my car and truck ran as well. Great buy.
