Does not fit my Stihl 041 Fram Boss
Apparently there are 2 size mufflers and this one does not allow the chain guard to fit back on. Nathan, Im sorry that the muffler did not fit your 041. Yes Stihl made different versions. We recommend to compare pictures and or part numbers to avoid mistake. Please contact us for a RMA so you can return the part. The Sawzilla Team

Not perfect.
Had to cut a slot in my muffler shroud to fit this replacement muffler on my ancient Stihl 041AV. Once that was done, I had a perfect fit.

Too big.
My saw is about 45 years old so parts are hard to find. This muffler looked the same until I was trying to reattach the side cover and found it is too big to fit without cutting apart the side cover. I called and was told then that there are 2 styles and I must have the odd one. I have no other option but to cut the cover and it works fine now.
