Proline Starter rebuild kit for Stihl 039 Chainsaw
The product was received in a timely manner, and in good condition. The part fit nicely. Installing the preloaded/banded spring needed a little caution as to assure proper and full seating in the recess of the pull start cover of the chainsaw. Once the spring was fully seated, the Band holding the spring was removed and the spring expanded/ found its natural "home" in the cover, and the rest of the assembly was easily completed. It appears this kit has two black expanding cams with a spring that engages both. The original Chainsaw pull start had only one cam and a smaller spring. I think the dual cam/spring concept is better, as the load from the compression of the engine during pull start is distributed over the two cams vs one (IMHO). Installed in a Stihl 039.
