good kit
I used this kit to rebuild a ms290 with a scored cylinder, makes more torque than the 290. Check the fitment of your muffler bolts in the cylinder. You will need a plug or decomp valve and a piston pin bearing. It makes more torque than the oe 290 cylinder with room to improve. The squish I measured at .045 and the exhaust port needed a hair of lift and widening. The ports are all chamfered nicely and the threaded plug ports are nicely cut and squared and the piston ring orientation pins are set 90 degrees apart witch is a nice feature . I think with a set of caber rings in the kit it would be worthy of 5 stars.
