Perfect Solution
Installed this new ignition module as a perfect fit. Saw started immediately and runs perfectly! Complete success.

Fixed one issue.
This ignition coil did work. I replaced the OEM coil, solving the issue of no spark. I did however have to slightly straighten one of the feet on the coil to get the correct gap on the flywheel because when tightening one of mounting screws, the coil would tip away from the flywheel. Unfortunately, the saw had another issue (60psi under spec compression, due to neglectful use by the previous owner) and is now a parts saw at a local shop. Make sure you add oil to your gas!

So far so good.
Product was shipped promptly and fit my Stihl MS 271. So far it is a good alternative to the more expensive OEM part. Thanks Sawzilla.
